WHY I TEACH THIS
When I opened my spa, I had zero experience and I was full of passion.
It was 2008, in Beijing. We were open seven days a week until 9:30 at night, and I was always there. I put clients on a pedestal and said yes to almost everything. Most days I skipped lunch. I suffered from chronic migraines.Â
Then I spent a night in the emergency room and realized how much my body had deteriorated due to stress and neglect. I started to look closely at every part of the business, to see what was aligned and what was not.
We closed earlier. We closed on Mondays, even when it meant losing business. I stopped the discount sites and focused on quality referrals, aligned collaborations and SEO. The right clients respected it and followed us. Later we were invited to open inside the most premium boutique hotel in the city. That spa still exists today, 18 years on.
This is why I became a peace of mind warrior. Leading a business asks us to take care of the whole person: mind, body and soul. In these four days, I'll share how I build a legacy-leaving business this way.

I'MÂ MAIKA.
I'm a Certified Erickson Professional Coach. I was born in Japan, grew up in France, lived in China for 13 years and now live in Istanbul with my family.
I built two businesses from the ground up. The first was a boutique holistic spa in Beijing, where we welcomed practitioners of many crafts: crystal healing, qigong, acupuncture, Reiki, tarot reading, pendulum and many more. I marketed their work to our community, and I learned what it takes to reach the people who need it.
In time, practitioners from other countries heard about us and asked to come. The second is the coaching business I run today around my family life.
I help you attain what, deep down, I believe we all want: peace of mind, a life of meaning and impact, a reliable and abundant income, and space for your family and your passions.
